Part-Time Sales Associate

Work in our fast-paced, inspiring retail bead store in Alameda. We hire friendly people who want to inspire others through their love of beading and to provide excellent customer service. The associate will also be responsible for maintaining the store space, computer work, inventory work and other behind-the-scenes tasks involved with running a retail operation.

Must be able to work at least 15-20 hours per week, including either a Saturday or Sunday, and one weekday evening per week as part of your regular work schedule. Must be available to work during peak holiday season, including the weekend of Thanksgiving and the week before Christmas.

Qualifications:

  • Friendly, outgoing personality
  • Strong work ethic
  • Computer skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Previous beading experience (preferred) or strong interest in learning

Employees are eligible for jewelry-making classes, employee discounts, and opportunities to learn to teach classes.

Starting pay: $8/hour. Employee is eligible for bonus program after initial training period. Commissions typically range from $0.50-$2.00/hour

Part-Time Purchasing & Operations Assistant
You'll be responsible for identifying items to purchase, receiving shipments, creating receiving vouchers, inventory work, computer work, online webstore updates, class logistics, ordering supplies, and other behind-the-scenes tasks involved with running a retail operation. If you enjoy giving attention to details, using your math skills, working efficiently, thoroughly, and quickly, and are interested in learning more about jewelry-making (beading or metalsmithing), we'd love to talk to you.

Must be able to work a minimum 15-20 hours per week during weekday mornings as part of your regular work schedule. Flexible hours.

  • Ability to do math with ease

Starting pay: $10/hr. min, depending on experience.
