While in the 1950s and 1960s, Lucite (or acrylic or plexiglass) was an extremely popular material for jewelry, its versatile and colorful material is still used to create jewelry today. It can be as clear as glass or tinted in many different shades as well as lighter and shatterproof compared to glass. A great idea for a vintage design!
