On FREE CHARM DAY, in addition to passing out FREE CHARMS throughout the day, Bead Inspirations staff will be available to give ideas about how to use your charms, and will also host:

Participating independently-owned brick-and-mortar bead shops across the nation will be offering a CHARM absolutely free to anyone who comes into their shops! We believe everyone can benefit from creative self-expression through making jewelry, and there’s no better place to start than with a simple project centered around a free charge at your local bead shop! Every bead shop will celebrate FREE CHARM DAY in their own unique way, giving attendees a great opportunity to learn about and engage with their local bead shops and the community of DIY jewelry enthusiasts.

Every year, on the first Saturday in October, our industry plans to come together for this event to give away FREE CHARMS and to encourage both curious first-time jewelry-makers and seasoned jewelry artists to flock to the best place in the world: the Local Bead Shop. Each one is unique in its community, with a style and personality all its own, and each one carries a wide array of beautiful beads, jewelry-making supplies, and innovative tools. Local bead shops are the hubs of our creative community, where beaders can come together to discover products, learn new techniques, and even make lifelong friends.
