Jewelry Making Instructors

If you are...

Experienced with jewelry making
Eager to teach people techniques that will inspire them to unleash their natural creativity
Experienced with teaching crafting techniques

Instructors work as 1099 contractors. We would like to be able to offer the following topics: Basic Stringing (crimping), Basic Wire (wire wrap), wire bezel wrapping, and seed bead techniques. If you have the experience described and would like to teach the Basic Stringing or Basic Wire class, we would have you sit in and take the class before teaching it. Volunteer/ Intern

Make a contribution and be part of our creative community without making an ongoing commitment. This is a great way to gain job experience to prepare you for a paid job and work with talented and inspiring co-workers. Store credit is available as a thank you. Tasks vary, but may include tasks such as:

Prepare our beautiful inventory for sale, including counting, bagging, and labeling
Greet and help customers
Take pictures of jewelry and beads
Assist Sales Associates
Add products to our website and do other website maintenance
Make our store space sparkle with cleanliness
Set up attractive displays
Other behind-the-scenes tasks involved with running a retail operation.

Assistant Manager in Training

If you are...

Experience making jewelry as a hobby or to sell
Experience working in retail for 1+ years
Experienced posting on Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest.
Experienced with established computer programs (such as Google Sheets, Google Docs, Google Drive, Microsoft Excel, and Word) and a can-do attitude to learn new apps. Experience with Dreamweaver, Photoshop-type programs, and HTML is a plus.
Organized and have attention to detail

And I would love to...

Share your love of jewelry making and hand-crafted jewelry
Inspire people's natural creativity, guide people toward win-win solutions in designing or repairing jewelry, or select jewelry as gifts
Ring up sales and fill weborders
Take photos and make social media posts to give people reasons to come in
Set up email marketing, blog posts, and videos for retail and webstore
Set up displays, keep the shop clean, organized, and stocked
Take free jewelry making classes on your own time at Bead Inspirations to enhance your technical knowledge
Collaborate with a talented work team

Your regular 3-day/week work schedule would include...

One weekend day most of the time (Sat. 4–8 hour shifts; shop hours: Sat. 10:30–6:30 or Sun. 12:30–5 p.m.)
Two weekday shifts (current shop hours: 11:30–6:30 p.m.)
Intention to increase to more hours/days over time

Other Qualifications...

Ability to stand, walk, and work on your feet for extended periods of time
Ability to lift up to 15 pounds, bend over, and climb ladders
Tendency to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Willing to do a variety of tasks to keep the business functioning

Compensation...

Competitive wage, depending on experience
